Benno Flügel wurde 1991 in Stuttgart geboren und ging nach dem Abitur für sein Studium nach Berlin. Als Student gründete er mit Freunden die Radikale Anti Smartphone Front (RASF), um gegen den ausufernden Gebrauch von Smartphones zu protestieren. Im Jahr 2022 erschien sein Roman Rausch und Reue. Im Jahr 2026 erschien sein Reisebericht Welcome to América, sein Roman Wonach wir streben und sein Sachbuch Empire of Art, Love and Science – Theorie der Systeme. Im Februar 2026 reaktivierte er die RASF und betreut sie nun als Künstler und Aktivist.

Benno Flügel was born in Stuttgart in 1991 and moved to Berlin after finishing school to study. As a student, he and a friend founded the Radical Anti Smartphone Front (RASF) to protest the excessive use of smartphones. In 2022, he published his novel Rausch und Reue, followed by his travel memoir Welcome to América, his novel What we strive for and his non-fiction book Empire of Art, Love and Science – A Theory of Systems in 2026. In February 2026, he reactivated the RASF and now runs it as an artist and activist.
